Water Temps Key for Opportunities

Deep water channels near shallow flats and grass beds are best for Speckled Trout & Redfish this time of year.

This week on the FOX 8 News BIGFISH Report, Capt. C.T. Williams & Captain Mike Gallo of Angling Adventures of Louisiana find slow moving, cold Reds in the morning along the Bypass Canal, and Speckled Trout along the Great Flood Wall, where deep water and water temperatures are key for limit opportunities.

Water temperature is key and the Berkley Havoc Grass Pig Jr. doesn’t hurt to have on board.  It has a real sharp hook on a thin wire.  If you are strictly trying to Trout fish, don’t get on the water too early, that gives the water a chance to warm up and you’d have better luck.
